Hook Size : B (2.25mm)
Yarn : Acrylic "Nona Brand" (Slightly thinner then lionbrand)
Note on Abbreviation used often :
inc = Increase
dec = Decrease
sc = Single Crochet
Additional Note : This is not doily, so when it says "5sc inc in all", it means "sc, sc, sc, sc,sc, inc" then repeat it till end of the row)
The "Magic Ring 5 Chain" is a typo, its just 5mg or 5 magic ring / circle.
Due to a friends request and design, Mini Nine tails fox were made...
Its not as simple like the other miniatures i made, this is kinda tough, the tricky two color mode and the nine tails it self was painful... yes literally painful to my fingers as to flip the sharp point inside out as all of my patterns are inside out.
The Larger Version of this Fox is Here .
The Larger Version of this Fox is Here .
The below in plastic packs is on sale at moms shop, it is also made from the fox pattern, it kinda fits to most creatures, just change the ear and tail and expression... (Sorry, i lost the big fox pattern parts and dont wanna make em again, The pict of the big one is here )
Patterns below... Sorry need to click it to read...
Feel free to suggest an improvement for this one, as i cant explain the ears well enough... help?

ReplyDeletethats adorable! i will for sure be linking this on my blog in like 2 mins lol its adorable! well done! xx
ReplyDeleteThank you :) im glad you like it :D
ReplyDeleteI just finished one! SOOOO cute, perfect for a Christmas Stocking. You have helped make a fox-obsessed girl very happy...ok its me...:)
ReplyDeletewhen are you gonna post the bigger kyuubi pattern?
ReplyDeleteWill update the bigger fox as soon as i get all my pc work clean up. Sorry for the delay, i actually forgot about it before the monitor broke down.
ReplyDeletei tried making the patter but could get past the head could got stuck in the last row of orange because i ended up with 30 stitches insted of 28 as you say its suposed to be could you help me cause i really liked the fox and would like to make one also on the change to white you tie off the orange and start on the slipstich?
ReplyDeletethanks
well a suggestion to fix it if you want it 28, using white at the next row (assuming u are at the last row of orange and "end off" already). Replace this instead, ( dec, dec, sc, inc, "sc" (marker), sc, dec, 2sc, dec) then you repeat back wards. and continue on with the next white row. The nose will be slightly plump out but it will look okay when you tie the inside part. (the tying is to force the nose take shape, it will hide that marker sc inside the head).
ReplyDeleteYes, dont worry of the slipstitch as i use it to hide the transition of orange to white in rows, it will look like orange to white staircase if i go with sc.
I hope it helps, though the trick of whenever missed a stitch or added extra, use dec or inc at the back of the head, it doesnt show much.
I really want to make this, but i have never made anything that small, so i was wondering when are you going to post the bigger kyuubi pattern?
ReplyDeleteSince i've lost partial of the pattern, im redoing it again, im posting some part of it, just re-did the head, it looks almost identical despite its not the same pattern. However, im publishing just some parts for now, need to re-make the body and tail (its lost).
DeleteI cant seem to make the body right, im not sure if I'm counting wrong.
ReplyDeletePlease do adjust the crochet work based on the colors. I dont remember which method of color switching i used, as the stitches differ...
DeleteThe two ways i used was :
1) Making sure 2 yarn over on the hook and then getting the other colored yarn to pull through.
2) After one stitch, knotting the new color yarn slipstitch to the last stitch.
I was learning to do fair isle back then, so not sure which was the right or wrong way.
Sometimes you will notice the dec falls on the switching color section... well it means "having a yarn over the hook, yarn over the first stitch, yarn over the second stitch, and then pull through the new color yarn into all 3 "yarn overs". The dec gives the neat curves.
I may have to redo the body and probably many of the fair isle patterns as its not exactly based on fair isle sometimes... Though please do improvise. Sorry for the inconvenience and thanks for trying out :)
What about the ears?
ReplyDeleteI, also, am having trouble with row 7. The DC, I think, is throwing me off. I understand that abbreviation to be Double Crochet and therefore use it as such, but this makes me have 30. I've tried Single Crochet and Decrease in it's place, but whatever I try I am not ending up with 28. Also, I am not wanting to change colors. I am wanting to keep the whole head white and I'm worried that row 8 is going to give me trouble, too, because of the color changing. Any advice would be greatly appreciated.
ReplyDeleteThis is the nine tailed fox demon from Naruto so you know later :-)
ReplyDeleteNot sure if you read this...
ReplyDeleteIs this crocheted in a spiral? Ort row per row?
